We find the food at Sandals Dunn’s River to be some of the best of any Sandals resort. Here are the highlights of our dining experience there, as well as descriptions of the restaurants, most of which are new to the brand.
Blum Coffee Shop
This new type of coffee shop is a step above the usual Café de Paris you’ll find at other locations. We loved the fresh-ground Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, specialty coffee drinks, and tasty snacks.
Hours: 6am-10pm
Banyu
Serves delicious Pan-Asian fusion.
Dinner: 6-9:30pm
Cascata
This restaurant serves classic Italian dishes.
Dinner: 6-9pm
Dunn’s Rum Club
This fantastic bar serves great craft cocktails plus a range of small bites, in a vibrant atmosphere. This is the late-night spot.
Snacks: 5pm-2am
Edessa
This ocean view restaurants features an a la carte breakfast with a wide range of unique and usual dishes, then switches to a Mediterranean menu at dinner. Our favorite dishes here were the baked feta and the lamb chops.
Breakfast: 8-11am
Dinner: 6:30-10PM
Galene Grill
This casual open-air restaurant is set on the beach and serves a varied menu including grilled items, seafood, salads, and sandwiches.
Lunch/dinner: 11am-6pm
Hanami
A fabulous sushi restaurant, we like this one even more than the Soy Sushi restaurant we love at other Sandals resorts.
Dinner: 6-9pm
L’Amande
This upscale restaurant serves gourmet French and Jamaican cuisine. Requires reservations.
Dinner: 6-9:30pm
Pizzeria Isola
This casual open-air spot by the beach features Neapolitan pizza for lunch and early dinner.
Lunch/dinner: 11am-6pm
Saltaire
Serves a buffet of international dishes for breakfast and lunch. We loved coming here for the breakfast buffet, which includes an omelette station, pancakes and French toast, and even a smoothie station.
Breakfast: 7:30-10:30am
Lunch: 12:30-2:30pm
The Jerk Shack
Set right on the beach, this casual place serves authentic Caribbean jerk. This is the only spot that you will find at many other Sandals resorts.
Lunch/early dinner: 12-6pm
Zuka
One of our favorite restaurants here, offering South American fusion. We recommend the tuna app and the surf and turf. While this restaurant is also found at Sandals Royal Curacao, it’s a bit different here.
Dinner: 6-9pm
