While excursions at Sandals resorts cost extra and are not included in your stay, they are usually well worth the price. In the case of Sandals Negril, Jamaica has plenty of interesting things to see and do, and we definitely recommend getting out to explore.
However, there are dozens of excursions available and it can be hard to choose the best ones. It’s also important to pay attention to where the attractions are located; since Sandals Negril is located on the far end of the island, it is further away from some of the popular spots like Dunn’s River Falls. Be sure to ask how long the travel time is for any excursion you’re considering.

Our favorite excursion from Sandals Negril is to Rick’s Café. This famous local spot is set on cliffs that locals jump off of into the water below, to the amazement of everyone watching. You can even participate if you want, in addition to getting some delicious local food and drink. There are beautiful sunset views as well.
It is located very close to Sandals Negril and you can go by road or water. We prefer the boat trip because it adds a level of fun. They pick you up right at the resort’s beach, and you can snorkel on the way.
Here are some of the other best excursions from Sandals Negril:
- YS Falls (which is much closer than Dunn’s River Falls)
- Ziplining
- Mayfield Falls River Walk
- ATV tours
- Appleton Estate Rum tour
- Reggae Sunset Catamaran Cruise
- Lover’s Rock Catamaran Cruise
